The Spice Girls, a female pop trio with enormous influence, made history. Years after their breakup, the ladies still have a sizable fan base that cherishes them.
The women appeared to remain in contact, as evidenced by their attendance at Victoria’s 50th birthday. However, there was an unavoidable detail that admirers noticed in the photo they uploaded. To find out what it was all about, continue reading.
Last week, Victoria Beckham turned 50 years old, and her husband David Beckham shared some of the most memorable parts of her extravagant birthday party. For the milestone birthday, the Spice Girls got back together and gave a surprise performance that Beckham posted on social media. “I mean come on x @victoriabeckham @melaniecmusic @officialmelb @emmaleebunton @gerihalliwellhorner 💚💛🧡💜💙🤍.” he captioned the classic video.
The five Spice Girls are performing, which is what they do best, in the video! Victoria is performing their iconic song “Stop” and the well-known dance steps that go with it in a line with Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, and Melanie Chisholm!
Join in on the singing as the rest of the room does the David Beckham megahit performed by the women!
Victoria Beckham had a fantastic birthday celebration as well. She posted to Instagram with the caption, “Best night ever! Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much! #SpiceUpYourLife.”
The footage was also posted to Mel B I’s (Scary Spice) Instagram account, with the tease “About last night #tourdatescomingsoon.”
The women had not toured together since 2013, when Victoria Beckham had infamously snubbed the reunion.
The women commemorated the 30th anniversary of their Spice Girls auditions last month. “Today marks the 30th anniversary of the very first Spice Girls auditions!” they said in a post last month. The statement said, “What started back in 1994 has turned into an amazing journey, way beyond anything we could have ever imagined. Thank you to our fans for your support from day one #FriendshipNeverEnds.”
Mel B discussed her experiences as a Spice Girl on a talk programme earlier this year, mentioning the connection the ladies have. “I was a Spice Girl at the age of 17. I’m old. I’m feeling old right now. But it is amazing that we’ve managed to kind of still stay friends. It’s been 30 years. What you go through as a group… you are just welded together for life because you’ve been through such a crazy experience.”
But it appears that some keen-eyed followers have picked up on a detail from a photo from Victoria’s 50th birthday celebration that has some admirers worried. A admirer wrote, “Oh, that body language is loud,” after quoting a photo of the five women from the evening.
The way Mel B appears to be on the outside, while the other four Spice Girls are standing close to each other, is the body language they are referring to.
She stands with her hands behind her back, thus separating herself from the other four women who appear to be surrounding each other with one arm. Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), who is standing next to her, has her hand on her waist.
